Browser Wars: Internet Explorer Loses More Market Share
According to eWeek, September 15, 2004, “Microsoft Internet Explorer is continuing to lose share in the browser market, as its much-smaller competitors chisel at its dominant position, new Web site visitor data shows.”
The likely reason for the drop in market share is attributable to several “high-profile security issues”. Open-source browsers like Mozilla – Firefox and commercial competitor Opera Software have recently gained market share.
