Some interesting findings

  • 49% of tech marketing budgets will be allocated for online advertising and online sales lead generation in 2005, an increase of nearly 5% over 2004 spending; online sales lead generation’s share of the budget will rise from 26% to 28%
  • 66% of those polled believe the priority assigned to sales lead generation will increase in 2005, while only half as many companies (33%) projected an increase for 2004
  • Holding the top spot from 2004, email promotion reigned as the number-one lead generation tool for 2005 among 88% of respondents, followed closely by white papers at 86%; Webcasts placed third at 74%
