Lovely DITA, DocBook Fades?

In Lovely DITA, DocBook Fades?, Edd Dumbill asks if “the mass of enthusiasm” for DITA means DocBook is on its way out? Nope, he says, each standard fills a void. He compares DocBook to DITA and provides his views on the likely success of both standards. While Dumbill thinks DITA is “impressively engineered”, he says it may also be “too industrial-strength for many”.
