Move Over Microsoft: Google Offers Web-Based Authoring Tool

Google has taken another step toward dominating the information technology industry with the beta release of Writely, a web-based authoring tool that lets you create content without a desktop word processor. Currently, Writely is being moved to Google’s servers so you can’t take a test drive today. Visit the site and learn about the tool (leave your email address if you’d like Google will send you a reminder email when the tool goes live).
