Google Maps: Who’s Visiting TheContentWrangler.com?
You’ve likely visited websites that provide information about how many visitors are online at the very same time as you. Usually these sites break the site visitors down into two types: “guests” and “members”. Now, thanks to Google Maps, your website or blog can also provide location information about each site visitor. Now we’ll not only know how many folks are online at a given time, but “where” they’re coming from. At 6:00 am today, TheContentWrangler.com had visitors from several continents—see the map below for details.
Editor’s Note: At the request of a reader who commented that part of the world map was missing, we provide for you a Google Map snapshot in time depicting how many folks were online and visiting TheContentWrangler.com at 7:20 EST, August 24, 2006 in places like India, China, Australia, Russia and Japan. As you can see, not much going on here, that’s why we didn’t include this part of the image in the illustration we provided. Our guess: If residents of this part of Earth are online at this time of day, they are likley not visiting TheContentWrangler.com. LOL
