Mediocrity: Why Do We Settle For “Good Enough”?

Mediocre. That’s the best word we can think of to describe how most organizations manage the content they create. The folks at Sun Microsystems have picked up on this concept and spun it into a parody-type commerical that attempts to differentiate their line of servers from the competition – Dell—by proclaiming, “Good Enough Just Got Better.” This humorous video clip is something we use in presentations to illustrate the main problem we see today: Knowledge workers are accustomed to mediocrity.
