Absolutely great. I run a network in Denmark with 275 members primarily focusing on intranet content and organizing intranets.

Our over 40 members handling international intranets could have great benefit of Component Content Management.

How do you materilize this? Is there Component Content Management Systems? If so which are they?

I have worked with ERP-systems in my “former” life and you have really opened my eyes here. Of course the translation into several languages of large content should be done like the financial ledger.

Looking forward to hearing your reply.

Great explanation. The biggest impact my CMS has on our translation process is handling the workflow. We translate into 32 languages and then have someone local review all of the translations we get from our vendor. This means sending the translated files all over the world for review then pulling them back into the CMS once edited and approved. I can’t begin to imagne how difficult that process would be without automated workflow in the CMS. Translation process is a big topic, I have whole chapter about it in The Web Content Strategist’s Bible.
