Eric Armstrong Asks: Do We Really Need Structured Document Formats? (Is Real Reuse Possible?)

In a recent blog post, Eric Armstrong asks if content reuse really possible—and, is it needed. “In one meeting,” Armstrong wrote, “every reason we came up with that made them [structured document formats] seem necessary, was answered by a convincing counter argument. ‘Reuse’ would seem to be the most important reason. And maybe there are some compelling cases.”
