I’ve recently had a couple of horrible experiences with Adobe software installation and pricing. When I did get to Support, they were good, but getting to that point was frustrating and incredibly time-sucking, and all because of some really useless error messages on installation.

For details on my Acrobat 9 installation nightmare (which ended up being my environment where the new Adobe product would not play well with older Adobe products and would not give me a way to find and uninstall them), see: http://cybertext.wordpress.com/2008/07/06/acrobat-9-installation-issues/

For my diatribe about Adobe pricing policies in other parts of the world, see: http://cybertext.wordpress.com/2008/07/12/how-do-they-get-away-with-it/

And joy of joys, when I do receive Captivate 3 I’ll probably go through some of the same stuff…

Thanks for the ‘heads up’ on Flash Player - I just installed the latest version on my brand new laptop so if Captivate has installation problems, I’ll look there first.
