WordPress Now Powers The Content Wrangler

September 14, 2009 Blog 1 Comment

After six years of running The Content Wrangler blog on Expression Engine, we made the switch to WordPress. We made the change because WordPress is easier to use, more robust, modular in nature, and has a huge community of users that share tips and tricks, help one another, and develop third party plug-ins and useful applications. While Expression Engine is a fine product, WordPress meets our needs much better.

We’re still working through some of the kinks and trying to determine how to handle things like hyperlink conventions, content organization, and additional features. So, expect the site to be a work in progress. If you experience challenges, please let me know.

This site was redesigned by Tom Johnson, who is a WordPress guru, all things considered. He’s revamped sites for groups, companies and individuals and does an excellent job. He’s self-directed and easy to work with. And, he’s a publisher of valuable content — check out his work at I’d Rather Be Writing — so he understands the challenges you face, as well as the technology you need. If you are thinking of switching blogging software, contact Tom. He may be just the resource you’re looking for.

Scott, thanks for the mention. I’ve had fun working with you on this site. One thing I’ve realized is how many posts you’ve written — more than a thousand — with such solid information. I hope the Related Posts section below each post can help bring some of these archives to light.
