[Jobs] Taxonomists Needed for Major Retail 7 Month Engagement

Earley & Associates is recruiting a team of information science professionals to join an exciting, 7‐month Product Taxonomy / Master Data Management engagement for a major retail corporation. They are seeking 8‐9 consultants with a variety of skills and expertise levels, among them:

• Senior Taxonomists with online retail, product merchandising and/or MDM experience
• Entry‐to‐Mid‐Level Taxonomists with a combination of MLIS and/or significant consulting experience
• Project Management with medium to large team leadership of Information Architecture (IA), taxonomy, product data quality and/or MDM engagements in large corporate settings

This fast‐ramp project requires you to “put your name in the hat” no later than Thursday evening, September 16th, including a full resume. In return, if our team is selected, you’ll be engaged in one of the largest, most comprehensive and collaborative taxonomy projects we’ve seen in a long time:

• Onsite with our team of 9 and the client’s team of 15 in Minneapolis, MN from October 4th, 2010 through April 29th, 2011
• The first 3 weeks includes intensive training by Oracle PDQ (formerly Silver Creek Systems) to train you in building Data Lenses (MDM representation of taxonomies)
• 40 hours weekly, excluding client holidays and the last week of 2010
• Two pre‐paid round‐trip tickets from your home base to Minneapolis, MN (project start/finish as well as end of 2010 holiday week) – or – car expense reimbursement for two trips
• Pre‐paid furnished rental housing in Minneapolis
