The Audience Has Spoken – Social Media Marketing Stats and Research Courtesy of Exact Target

May 6, 2011 Uncategorized No Comments

I don’t know that I believe all of the statistics being used in this slide deck from the email marketing folks at ExactTarget. You know what they say about numbers. There are lies, damn lies, and then there are statistics. It seems to me that the amount of people who prefer email over other methods of communication isn’t universal. For instance, the readers of this blog, subscribers to my Facebook, Linkedin, and Twitter audiences may or may not value email as much as some other groups.

What do you think? Do you prefer email more than social networks, websites, or other sources? When is email a good thing? And, when is it just the wrong frickin’ tool for the job?
