The Content Wrangler Interviews Val Swisher, CEO, Content Rules

May 9, 2011 Uncategorized 1 Comment

In this short video interview, filmed at the 2011 Intelligent Content conference in Palm Springs, Scott Abel, The Content Wrangler interviews Content Rules CEO Val Swisher. Earlier this year I wrote an article about the services offered by Swisher’s firm entitled Ready For The World: Is Your Content Strategy Global Ready? And, coincidentally, she’s the mother of one very smart, young entrepreneur.

The Audience Has Spoken – Social Media Marketing Stats and Research Courtesy of Exact Target

I don’t know that I believe all of the statistics being used in this slide deck from the email marketing folks at ExactTarget. You know what they say about numbers. There are lies, damn lies, and then there are statistics. It seems to me that the amount of people who prefer email over other methods of communication isn’t universal. In this exclusive interview, I talked Read the full article…

I’ve written a lot about intelligent content. Ann Rockley and Joe Gollner cover the topic from a strategic vantage point in An Intelligent Content Strategy for the Enterprise. For the uninitiated, intelligent content is content that is structurally rich, semantically aware, automatically discoverable, reusable, Read the full article…

April 5, 2011 Uncategorized No Comments

by Cheryl Landes, Founder, Tabby Cat Communications The first WritersUA conference I attended was in 1996 in Seattle, when it was known as WinWriters. I was a guest, thanks to taking an advanced RoboHelp class from Neil Perlin in conjunction with the conference. Back then, the topics were on the cutting edge—with seemingly endless enthusiastic discussions about tips on using help authoring tools (HATs) and the future of online help. As a relatively novice help writer at the time, my head swam with information, but I learned a lot that Read the full article…
